Working at Heights (Harness & Lanyard Inspection)

About this training course

This course is primarily aimed at people working in the construction industry or anyone working in an environment where they may be working at heights.

In essence `Working at heights` is defined as whereby working in a place, that if one were to fall that they would be at risk of injury.

There is an onus on both employers & employees to protect the physical, emotional, economic and social wellbeing of themselves and each other.

01. Aims

This two hour course will teach participants the fundamental and practical principals of the risks of working at heights, and the mitigating factors in reducing risks. This course also outlines the steps in Harness and Lanyard Inspection.

02. Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn about:

  • How to mitigate against the risks of working at heights.

  • Harness and lanyard inspection procedure.

  • Legislation in relation to working at heights.

03. Who Should Attend?

Anybody who is working in construction.

04. Presenter

Course is presented by a QQI qualified trainer, with over 25 years in the service industry.

Other important information

This is a practical & interactive course, course is also delivered using audio visual methods.
A good standard of both written and verbal English is required.
On attendance and completion each participant will receive a certificate that lasts for three years.
